ISSUE: Matteawan Road Closure

The Board approved a letter sent to the Superintendent of the Fishkill Correctional Facility, October 29, 2021.  This letter was copied to Governor Hochul, NY Senator Serino, NY  Assembly Member Jacobson, US Senator Schumer, US Senator Gillibrand, US Congressmen Maloney, Town of Fishkill Supervisor Albra and the Town of Fishkill Town Board.

LEGISLATION: Assembly Bill A3648A - Culturally Responsive Education

This bill would establish "a culturally responsive education curriculum and standards" for all grade levels and proposes $25 million to fund the mandate across the state. Full text and status of Assembly Bill A3648A

ISSUE: State Testing

Due to Covid-19, all January 2021 High School Regents Exams have been cancelled.  No decisions have been made on the exams for June and August, or for any other State assessment programs.  State tests affect student graduations, teacher assessments, and school status. Read updates from the Office of State Assessment
