Letter from Mrs. Soto

Dear Beacon High School Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter to you as the incoming principal of Beacon High School.  I am honored to become a part of the Beacon family and community.   I have had opportunities to interact with some faculty and parents who have shared how proud they are of the High School.   I know it is a unique and special place and I am incredibly excited to become a part of it.

I have served in a variety of teaching and educational leadership roles, which include classroom teacher, school counselor, and 9-12 assistant principal. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish/Latin and Caribbean Studies, a Masters of Science in School Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration.  I commit to working with the administration teams, teachers, support staff and all school personnel, to ensure a smooth transition.  I believe that excellent schools are the result of a team effort.

One of my passions is education, and I look forward to collaborating with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and high-quality high school experience. As the parent of two adult children, I recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents are every child’s first teacher and I believe that by working together, we can meet your child’s social, emotional, and academic needs.  My primary goal will be to ensure that every student believe that they can fulfill their unique potential.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Beacon High School family and community in this role and look forward to a great year ahead. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or ideas you would like to share.  My email is, and my telephone number is (845)838-6900 ext#3003.

With warmest regards,

Elisa Soto
