  • Compass Arts Creativity Project Summer Camp Assistant Position

     

    Do you love working with kids? Getting creative and messy? Compass Arts Creativity Project is hiring assistants ages 16 and up for our summer camp programs. Assistants will work side by side with our teaching artists in a variety of capacities including set-up and clean-up each day, checking students in and out, working on projects, and helping with snack and lunch supervision. There are two separate camps sections we will be running this summer. 

     

    Early Childhood Camps (students aged 3.5 - 6 years) 

    These camps run Monday through Friday from 9am - 1pm the weeks of June 26, July 10, July 17, and July 24, 2023.

    Assistants would work from 8:30am - 1:30pm to help with set-up and clean-up

     

    Performing Arts Camps

    • Macbeth Camp for students going into 5th-8th grade Monday through Friday from 9am - 1pm the week of August 7, 2023. 

    Assistants would work from 8:30am - 1:30pm to help with set-up and clean-up  

    • Alice in Wonderland Camp for students going into 2nd-4th grade Monday through Friday from 9am - 1pm the week of August 14, 2023. 

    Assistants would work from 8:30am - 1:30pm to help with set-up and clean-up 

     

    Ideal candidates are compassionate and empathetic, enjoy working with children, listen and communicate well, are motivated and curious, and are self-directed and able to anticipate needs. We will be hiring an assistant for each week of camp - this may be the same person or split between multiple people depending on availability. Pay is $15/hour.   • LIFEGUARD opportunities:

    Coach Collins will be running a lifeguard training class beginning on April 10th.  The course is FREE!  There will be a need for lifeguards this summer in the local area.  Once trained/certified, you will be eligible to apply for and gain employment as a lifeguard.

  • We are looking for a student that has an interest in the field of metal fabrication that also has an 85 (or above) average and a desire to work to further their education.

    We are offering to pay the full tuition for the student to attend the Advanced Manufacturing Skills Course at Hudson Valley Community College (Troy, N.Y.).

     

    Stipulations to this offer are as follows:
           - The student maintains a 32 hour work week.
           - After completion of the course, the student is to remain a worker for Apparatus Mfg. for 4 years or tuition reimbursement will be sought out
           (75% reimbursement if the student leaves after the first year; 50% after the second year; 25% after the third year; Nothing will be owed if the student parts               ways after year 4).
