Beacon City School District Communication Protocol
The Beacon City School District is committed to building healthy partnerships between schools, families, and communities to better support the well-being of students academically, socially, and emotionally. Creating environments that foster mutually respectful and engaging communication is a priority for the Beacon City School District.
We believe that sharing information and working through issues are best handled when all sides work together to dialogue and find solutions as close to the origin as possible. It is an important goal of our district to work together with school personnel and families to ensure the best results for your child’s education.
On this page you will find a Parent and Community Communication Process Flow Charts organized by chain of command that will help guide the public communication. Download a printable copy.
The first step should be to contact the person in charge at whatever level the initial action was taken with appeals moving on to the next level on the chain of command. You will also see contact information for every administrator in the district.
If you have an issue directly related to your child’s safety or an emergency situation, please call the school directly and the office staff will connect you with an administrator or lead teacher to help.
Contact information for Board of Education members can be found here: https://www.beaconk12.org/domain/42
We will update the information periodically throughout this year to clarify information. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, I am always happy to help.
Sincerely,
Matt Landahl
BCSD Superintendent
