School Budget Vote and Election Information - Revised
On Friday, May 1, 2020, Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 202.26 which addresses the 2020 Annual Meeting, Election, and Budget Vote.
June 9, 2020 is now the date of the vote. The vote must be conducted by Absentee ballot only, there will be no in-person voting.
All "qualified" voters will be eligible to vote by absentee ballot.
Qualified voters are:
- a United States Citizen
- at least 18 years old
- a resident of the district for at least thirty days prior to June 9, 2020
Absentee ballots will be mailed to qualified voters who are registered to vote; there is no need to complete an absentee ballot application. The ballot will arrive with a postage-paid return envelope. A postcard explaining this process will be mailed to district residents. If you are a qualified voter, and not registered to vote, you may request an absentee ballot by using the form available on the link below. These forms must be received by the district clerk Kelly Pologe at pologe.k@beaconk12.org by June 2, 2020 at 5:00 P.M.

The proposed budget for the 2020-2021 school year will be on the agenda for adoption at the Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, May 2020 at 7:00 P.M. via video conference. The Public Hearing on the Budget will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 via video conference.

School Board Candidates
School board candidate petitions do not require a minimum number of signatures. Self-nominating forms are posted on the website and due on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. Candidates will be listed on the ballot in alphabetical order.

Howland Public Library
The Executive Order authorized school district public libraries to inlude the library's budget proposition and trustee elections on the school district's absentee ballot. To find this information, please click on the link below to find the website for the Howland Public Library.
Counting of Ballots
Ballots will be counted on June 9, 2020. Ballots must be received by 5:00 P.M. on June 9, 2020 to be counted.
