Superintendent Weekly Update November 18, 2024

Just a reminder that next week Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26 are half days for students so we can have parent-teacher conferences.  Please be on the lookout for information from your child's teacher or principal on how to sign up.

Star Employee- Maria Pulla

Maria is the cook at our largest kitchen and is just amazing at her job.  She is a wonderful cook and makes the tasks look easy when in reality serving over 600 student lunches daily with one cook is a remarkable task.  She remains calm even in the largest rush and is proactive in making sure student meals are delicious and on time.   Most days she makes the items from scratch.

We are so fortunate to have Maria as Cook at BHS. 

Star Student- Suvi O’Shea

Suvi O’Shea exemplifies what it means to be a Star Student at Rombout through her interactions with both the adults and her peers within the building. On several occasions, she has gone out of her way to invite students who are new to the school to join her lunch table to make them feel welcome and accepted. Suvi also reaches out to staff members to advocate for students who may need additional support.   

Suvi’s kindness, empathy, and compassion towards others are some of the many reasons why she is a standout star student.
